Meet Dr. Campbell

Hi! I’m Dr. Jacquelyn Campbell. I started Holistic San Diego because I care about helping people feel their best. I want to bring the best acupuncture in San Diego to people of all ages.

I moved here in 2012 to study Kinesiology at San Diego State University. I was on the swim team and learned how food, exercise, and rest affect health. I earned a degree in Exercise Science.

Next, I trained in massage and a special method called Stecco Fascial Manipulation. This technique helps with pain by working on the body’s soft tissue. It works well with acupuncture.

I wanted to learn more, so I became a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I studied aging, herbs, stress, and pain relief at the Southern California University of Health Sciences.

When I’m not with patients, I enjoy the beach, biking, dancing, painting, and spending time with my fiancé.

Immediate Shoulder Pain Relief in San Diego #holisticsandiego #sandiegochiropractor #sandiego #chiropractor #shoulderpain
When a joint becomes chronically stiff or loses normal motion, loads can become less evenly distributed. Potentially increasing stress on certain areas of the joint over time.

That’s why chiropractic adjustments focus on restoring and maintaining joint motion.

For a joint like the wrist, keeping all those small joints moving well helps maintain range of motion, distribute everyday forces, and reduce stiffness. #sandiegochiropractor #sandiegohiddengems
Spinal decompression can pull with 20, 40, 60… even 100+ lbs of force 😮‍💨 Sounds intense but it’s controlled traction designed to gently unload the spine and reduce pressure on irritated structures. #sandiegospinaldecompression #holisticsandiego #sandiegochiropractor #sandiegohiddengems
Chinese medicine would view spinal decompression as a way to create space, reduce restriction, and restore healthy movement through the spine. When an area becomes compressed or painful, TCM may describe this as Qi stagnation (restricted movement and function) and Blood stagnation (poor circulation and congestion in the tissues). The spine is also closely associated with the Kidneys and Jing (the body’s foundational reserves that support the bones, joints, and aging process). Yang (warming, activating function) supports movement and strength, while Yin (nourishing, cooling, restorative function) supports the discs, joints, and surrounding tissues. In everyday terms: decompression takes pressure off an irritated area, improves movement and circulation, and creates a better environment for the spine and surrounding tissues to function and recover. #sandiegospinaldecompression #holisticsandiego #neckpainrelief #sandiegochiropractor #sandiegoacupuncture

Spinal decompression uses controlled, targeted traction to gently stretch a specific area of the spine. The machine is programmed to focus the decompressive force at the affected spinal level, helping reduce pressure on the compressed disc and surrounding nerves. #sandiegospinaldecompression #holisticsandiego #neckpainrelief
Spinal decompression gently reduces pressure within the spine, creating more space around an irritated or herniated disc. This may help decrease nerve compression, improve circulation to the area, and support the disc’s natural healing process, helping reduce pain, numbness, and tension. #holisticsandiego #sandiegochiropractor #sandiegospinaldecompression #spinaldecompression
